Wonderful Weekend

I drove to Raleigh on Friday for an appointment to deal with our taxes (yuck) but on Saturday I went to Chapel Hill on Saturday night with the one and only KP. We had a blast. Here are the pictures to prove it :-)

When we got to the hotel, the told us there had been a "maintenance issue" with our room. After KP and I both envisioned terrible, horrible problems, we were told it was just a broken dresser drawer. Which, as it turns out, got us $30 off of the price of the room and provided a wonderful place for our overnight bags to sit! Yes, we have the same bag. They were the bridesmaid's gifts at my wedding, but I liked them WAY too much not to get myself one too. I know, it's the classy thing to do.

We went to Cosmic for dinner. For all of you familiar with CH, you know that this is AHMAYZING food...but you have to be willing to eat at a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant. And with it, you get some awesome ambiance....like this chair that has clearly seen better days. But that burrito was COMPLETELY worth the risk of the health rating. I assure you.

After dinner (and trying to become a little less full....did you see the size of the burrito?!) we headed off to Wine Bar. This was bottle of wine number one.

And here we are with the first glass of that bottle. Nice and relaxed, but quite sober.

Hmmm....bottle two has been opened.

And we're not quite as sober.

The rest of the pictures are not allowed on the blog. I won't post the ones of me, and KP would defriend me if I posted the ones of her. So we move on to Sunday at my parent's house in Raleigh. They have an amazing yard all year, but nothing compares to the yard in the spring. Its always so beautiful. Here's Nutty enjoying himself.
