What is Normal?

I'd give it about 85% of the time.

85% of the time I feel "normal." I'm not really sure what normal is. But I know when I'm NOT feeling normal. That's the other 15% of the time. And then I'm sure its NOT normal.

Examples from my current life:
Its normal that when I get dressed in the morning there is frustration with putting on my jeans. Every woman in America can identify with that "Ugh. My jeans don't fit" feeling. Or the "Ugh. These jeans fit but they are 5 sizes away from the size I'd like to be wearing" feeling. That's normal. Then I start the not normal feelings associated with trying to find an option B to put on when option A fails me.....Option B is maternity clothes. Begin not normal feeling attack. I was SO excited to grow into these clothes. So excited to watch them start to stretch around a growing belly. And now they just make me sad. But I don't feel like I can take them out of my closet yet because my normal clothes don't all fit yet.

Normal moment: I spent the week in Raleigh with my parents. I finally got to see the stroller we bought from Craig's List a month ago.
Not Normal moment: Realizing that I no longer know when I get to use said stroller.

But lets focus on that 85% of the time.

This week I didn't write a thankful on Thursday post. So instead I will list things that I'm thankful I did this week:

-laughed
-drank wine
-played Cranium (you know you love that game...)
-shopped with my wonderful mom
-cooked with my parents
-ate at Vinny's with my parents and cousin, Matt
-freaked out about something completely UNRELATED to the baby (I promise, this is a good thing)
-planned a future weekend with my BFF in Chapel Hill (that's right, I called you BFF)
-had coffee with an old friend
-emailed with my newest additions to my "favorite people" group
-watched UNC beat Dook
-felt hopeful.

Happy Weekend to all of you!

GO CAROLINA!
