I think there may be an entire series of REALLY posts in this blog...
So the good news is this post has NOTHING to do with the baby and I promise it won't make you sad. Yay, right?!
Now then.
Mom and I were shopping in Ross on Sunday. Its the Ross Dress Event....which is AMAZING. If you haven't been to a Ross Dress Event, please go. I'll take you. I digress. We're there, we're shopping in the tall, overstuffed, dress racks. And I hear this giggling. At first I think, "Aw, how cute. Kids are giggling and happy while they're shopping." Then I round the corner and see them.
Please picture this: a four year old girl is in charge of driving the cart, a six year old boy is sitting in the cart. The girl is driving the cart into the racks of dresses laughing hysterically as her brother's body smashes the dresses through to the other side of the rack. Over. And over. And over.
I'm a patient person. So I think, "I'm sure their mom will see them very soon and put a stop to it."
CRASH. Giggle. CRASH. Giggle.
"I'll just ignore them."
Another lady stops them from crashing into me with the cart. Thank you, kind lady for not allowing them to run me down.
CRASH. Giggle.
The boy suddenly realizes he hasn't seen his mom for awhile (Yeah, me either, buddy...) and begins to yell for her.
They start to run up and down the aisles to look for her. CRASH. MOOOOOOOMMMM?! CRASH. People (other than me) are irritated now.
BANG! CRASH! ....silence....
I peer around the corner. Oh look, they turned over the cart in the aisle. Who's shocked?! Anyone?
Still no sign of mom.
An announcement is made over the PA system:
For the safety of your children, and other customers, please make sure that you keep your eyes on your children at all times. Ross employees are not babysitters and for the safety of your children, you will need to keep an eye on them. Thank you.
Whoa. Ross doesn't babysit while you shop?!
REALLY?!
