North Carolina, Come on and Raise Up!

Okay, I know. The blog post title is a rap song. I'm not really the rapper type. I get that. However, the video for this song was filmed in front of my high school. No seriously, I went to high school in the ghetto. Don't judge. It's an amazing school. It just so happens that if you park your car in the back of the school, your windows might get shot out. It's not a big deal. Enloe grads can write an awesome paper AND know how to dodge a bullet. THOSE are high school skills.

I digress....

After the job fair (which went well I think) Andrew and Nutty and I packed up and headed to NC. We spent Saturday night hanging out with our friend Ben at my parent's house. My parents, however, didn't join the fun and festivities until Sunday when they returned from their cruise. More about that in a second.

First of all, I simply MUST comment on the AMAZING Carolina game from Saturday night. Seriously, if you're from NC you understand the rivalry between Duke and Carolina. If you're not from NC, I'm not sure you could possibly comprehend the intense hatred these schools share. They're SO close together geographically and we LOVE to HATE each other. And, might I say, the better school won on Saturday. I don't think anyone (with class) will argue. (And because always feel the need to apologize, sorry if you're a Duke fan and you're reading this post... but really, switch to the lighter shade of blue.)

Now, back to the parents and the cruise situation. They (of course) had a WONDERFUL time. They (of course) returned with a tan from the Caribbean sun. They (of course) were wanting to book another cruise.....BUT GET THIS. Mom won a free cruise for two. Yeah, she won it from a raffle. No really. For free. So they are (of course) in the process of booking another cruise, which they have to take in the next 18 months. Oh. Darn. She's a lucky duck. I'm going to stand near her as much as possible so maybe her luck will rub off. I mean, I could use a free cruise. Couldn't you?!

I must tell you that I educated some Pittsburgh people on the Carolina/Duke rivalry as I forced them to watch the game...they still didn't get it, but at least they cheered for Carolina with me :)

Spin it like a helicopter!"

I couldn't help but be funny today :) Congrats Carolina :)

Enjoy the time with your parents!
