Daddy's Birthday and The Big Bash Prep begins!

For those of you that are also my friends on facebook, I apologize for the repetition! We took some pictures this morning in honor of Daddy's birthday. He's 31 today and lookin' good in Libya! And now a word from Kennedy....
I'm pouting about not getting to spend your birthday with you, Daddy.
But I can't be sad for long. This is the face I make when I say, "dada" and explore the cabinets.
This is my "It's my daddy's birthday and I'll lay in Nutty's bed and celebrate if I want to" face.
Yep, makes me super happy to celebrate in Nutty's bed.
And then Mom got me dressed and stuck me in this hat. She called it a party hat. I call it "get that thing off my head."
Do I look like a little girl version of Brad Paisley, Daddy?
Once we told Daddy, "Happy Birthday" it was time to start thinking about my big day. We started working on my cake. A first birthday takes a special cake, you know. I climbed up on a stool to help out.
Everyone was helping. It was so much fun!
This is either my "I'm working so hard on my cake that I got flour on my face" face...or it's my "Grandaddy thought it would be cute to throw some flour on my face" face. You decide.
Stirring up this cake batter is hard work! Wait, there's nothing in my bowl? What do you mean?
Grandaddy, your jokes are getting old.
The final cake is going to have polka dots in it...pics of that come on party day, but for now you get to see the polka dots, and the tie-dye cupcakes we made with the extra colorful batter.

And then to top off my awesome day, my Aunt Marissa arrived! We tried to take a good picture of us together, but we got one good picture of Aunt Marissa...
And one decent picture of me...better luck tomorrow...

Tomorrow is my first birthday and Mommy says that's a pretty big deal. The next day is my party and I think that's when I finally get to eat that cake I helped with today. That sounds like a much bigger deal than a first birthday, but that's just my opinion.
