Block Party

Yesterday we had a block party for part of our neighborhood. It was just two streets worth of people that were invited and the turn out was AWESOME! So many kids, so many families and even some Dads newly returned from deployment.

It was a costume party for the kiddos, so Kennedy had her first wear of this year's costume. Meet little Miss Strawberry.

This was right after I put on her costume...apparently it was SOOO funny.

And here she is with some of her friends. This is Harper and Arthur. Harper's the monster...Arthur is the pirate.

Did you know strawberries like to swing?

They also like to sit at tables.

And they definitely like bounce houses. She was holding on to the outside netting and bouncing away. And making this cute "I'm having so much fun" scrunchy face.

It was even more fun that some of her big kid friends were inside. This is our friend Finley.

And then there was this giant ball. Which you have to pick up and walk with, of course.

Kennedy also modeled one of my outfits from when I was little yesterday. This is either her model pout, or her "I do not want to take pictures right now, mom" face.

Eh, fine. One smile.

Nah, I'd rather lounge.

No really, this isn't working for me, Mom.
