How Rude, Blogger!

Well. I was all ready to post on Thursday...and then SHOCK! Blogger was completely down. No one could log in. So first let me take a moment to be thankful this week.

*Shannon- Thank you for your card. You have been a wonderful friend to me these past few months and I can't wait for our summer field trip to Richmond.
*Melissa- Thank you for your unwavering support. I've tried to figure out a way to say more about why I'm thankful this week. But quite frankly it makes me tear up with a mix of thankful tears, sad tears, and happy tears. And I'm running out of tissues in this house, so I'll leave it with...thank you.
*Jenelle- Thanks for the loan of the DVDs. It's official. I'm addicted.
*Ashley Chell- You most certainly have your hands full with work and your two beautiful boys...and yet, you still take the time to send sweet text messages that make me smile. Thank you.

As you all know, Andrew has recently decided to take up triathlons as a fun hobby. To me, that sounds a lot like torture. However, I am ALL for it as long as I get to stand on the sidelines and support him. But I bring this up to ask you this...how much do you think is a reasonable price to pay for a bicycle? When we started looking for a bike for him in the fall, I was thinking a nice bike would probably cost around $500. And that, to me, is a lot of money. I was in for a rude awakening. I've now seen bikes from $900-10,000. Are you shocked or was I just living under a rock?

Andrew and I had a great day yesterday. It was one of those days where we didn't really do a whole lot, didn't do anything extravagant, but it was still amazing. And I love knowing that we have a LOT more days like that to come, no matter what happens with our attempts to get pregnant.

In other things to look forward to this week....my wonderful parents arrive mid-week, and our friends Sara and Ben arrive on Friday for the beginning of summer concert season on Saturday. And the school year is slowly winding down. So much to be thankful for, so much to look forward to.

Seriously $10,000? Do they come when you whistle? Move at the speed of light? Make dinner for you? What could possibly make a bike worth that much money?
