Here is the project from Saturday. It began like you see above. The torturous moving of sod from around the tree (seen above) to a location near the fence where there was a hole in the grass (seen below) I must insist that sod is HEAVY and this is a job for many large burly men, not for myself and my mom and dad. But we are, in fact, capable of doing it. Just see for yourself.

Then we got to have the fun we were hoping for. We tilled in a ton of new dirt and then began the planting. (Yay for parents owning and bringing a tiller with them!) I'd say it turned out pretty nicely :-)

Now all that's left is putting mulch around the pretty flowers and finishing the little fence thingy. Oh yes, and trying to keep the flowers watered during the hot summer days so I don't have a wilted mess in the front yard! I will post pictures of my week long project later on in the day!
