Six Months Old!

Mister Michael is now SIX months old! I can't even believe how big this kid is getting. His appointment was today and he weighs 20 lbs, 11 ounces. 27 1/4 " and a head in the 99th percentile. Huge. He is wearing mostly 9 month clothes but ::sniff:: is quickly quickly moving into 12 month clothes. He's wearing size three diapers...and outgrowing them.

He can now sit up all by himself...until he reaches for a toy that's just out of reach and then he flops right on over which he doesn't appreciate. He still has no interest in tummy time and is quite talented at the "immediate roll over" maneuver. We are guessing that he will be like his sister and have very little interest in crawling.

He LOVES to "walk" and jump in his jumper. He stands to play in his exersaucer thingy and still enjoys playing laying down on his playmat.

He has started eating solids like a professional just this past week. Prior to this week, we'd given him a few tastes of different things, but for the most part he just made faces and spit most of it out. Then a lightbulb went off and BAM he's an eating machine. Oh and don't you DARE think that you can eat without offering him something. That is RUDE and he will be happy to tell you about it! (That reaction and an unprepared Mommy may have resulted in the man getting to eat some Chick-fil-a bread pieces the other day...)

He's a smiling, giggling machine and he is such a joy to spend days (and nights) with. He sleeps well on the go, which is good because we certainly don't plan around his naps... I looked back at Kennedy's six month post and had a good laugh because with the poor second child I have NO idea how often he naps?! Um, when he's tired?! Oh and he wakes up some at night. How often? No idea. I love that it doesn't matter to me anymore. When these kiddos are teenagers I am going to catch up on some sleep, till then, FORGET ABOUT IT!

I cannot imagine life without my sweet little smiley man. Happy half birthday Michael!

What is this thing, Mommy?

Sweet potatoes are the best!

They might taste even better than this sticker!

And now we learn that Michael and I cannot take a good picture together...

Yay! Michael smiles!...what's happening to my eyes....

Yay! I have eyes!...what happened to his smile?!

Oh...he likes it when I look drunk...got it.

Selfie?

Eh, forget it. Look at that sweet drooly face.

And if you think it's hard to capture an adult and a baby...try two kiddos...Yep, this is the best I got of what I thought was a super sweet moment of snuggles...

These two are still siblings :-)
