10 Months Old!

Height/Weight: No checkup this month...but she continues to be way taller than her peers and feels quite heavy to me...so let's assume that she's continuing to grow just fine :-)

Eating: Still nursing! Still eating solids like a champ! Favorite foods include black beans, blackberries, cheese, blueberries and whatever is on Mommy's plate. She could take or leave meats, and veggies continue to be a harder sell than other things.

Sleeping: Someday she'll sleep and when she's 13 I won't be able to drag her out of bed...
That being said. She goes to bed around 8 right now and wakes up around 6 or 6:30. She does not, in any way, attempt to sleep through the night without waking. She loves to snuggle and would prefer to spend the night in bed with Mommy snuggled in close.
Naps are changing I think...she is taking two naps most days and does well to make it 3 1/2 to 4 hours between naps one and two. If her second nap ends before 3pm, there's a good chance she will either a)need a third nap or b)be really cranky until bedtime.

Playing: Loves to crawl and will follow me down the hallway or from the family room to the kitchen if I call her. Loves to pull herself up to standing and "walk" with someone holding her hands. She has been able to stand up by herself a few times for a few seconds. She recently learned to throw a ball and can sort of catch as well. She loves to listen to music and to people singing. She loves going to the playground every night to play with our friends and continues to enjoy any activity that involves water.

Clothes: 12 and 18 months...and I've recently discovered that some of the pairs of long pants I purchased when she had her cast were actually capris.....

Language: She says mama and dada but they're not connected to anyone or anything. I'm almost to the point of giving her credit for "hi" as she uses it with a wave....but I'm holding out on it being official until I see it a few more times. She (from out of nowhere) has learned to shake her head to say no, but sometimes over uses her newfound skill and says no when she means yes because shaking your head is OH SO FUN! She loves to wave to people she knows and loves and waves to people she doesn't know after they've stopped watching and waving to her. Occasionally I can get her to repeat "uh oh" when she drops something.

She (as of today) officially has her first tooth through the gums! It's her bottom left tooth, but she won't let me actually get a good look at it or a picture of it. I think the other bottom one is going to follow pretty soon.

Again, trying to get pictures with the sticker was somewhat of a lost cause though I did manage at least one, but here are some pictures of our girl at 10 months old!

I'm so funny.

I'm cute and I know it!

Cheers!

Mommy and Me.

Give me back my sticker, mom.

Just standing here, no big deal.

Clearly, she's trouble.

I'm coming to get you!

Okay if you look REALLY closely in this picture you will notice 2 things: 1)This kid is blessed with gorgeous eyes. 2) Her tooth just barely poking through the gum (no really, it's a speck of white) on the bottom right hand side (her left tooth)

Do you see those eyelashes?!

Really, mom?!

This little troublemaker is the light of my life. I just love her.
