On a normal day in the Eckert household these days...
We snuggle.
But only for a brief moment...because, you know, we've got things to do.
Things to do like EATING...this girl can EAT. This was dinner last night. She had creamed spinach, chicken, cheese, blackberries, and black beans....
Someone Andrew works with had recommended giving K a chicken bone to chew on to help with her teeth coming in. Well, she chewed it for a brief moment before concluding that, like most things, it was way more fun to bang it on her tray and throw it on the floor.
After dinner and Mommy's run, we head over to the playground to see our friends. This is K and her friend Augustus. Augustus is a month older than Kennedy and they love to play together on the playground each night. Living on base is the BEST for finding fun friends to play with each night. There is now another baby who comes out to play with these two named Arthur that is three days older than Kennedy. Tonight ANOTHER baby came to join the party who is 7 months old (another boy...). This is usually one of the highlights of my day, not only because K is so happy playing with friends, but also because it is wonderful to be able to connect with other mommies every day.
Tonight we got home from playtime, took a bath and I went to put Kennedy to bed....except she didn't want to go to bed....so this is what we did instead. Just before taking this video, Kennedy had passed me the ball about 10 times in a row. Then she moved closer to this box and I started the camera...well, clearly she liked the box more than me.... (and please excuse the weird views you get of me in this video...it is really difficult to set up the camera in a place that K just might ignore its presence, and play ball while staying off screen...)

Okay, blogger didn't like me today, but here's a recap:
I enjoy how "normal" isn't really ever normal with little girl K. And I love the video...she's so cute when she gets all excited! :) Hugs to you guys.
I second Sara's comment...but I think K is cute ALL the time. :D (Don't kill me, Sara) :-P Love y'all! Can't wait to come down and visit!
