Bathing Beauties

Yesterday Sarah and Harper came over to play. Oh. What. Fun. Kennedy is finally old enough to think that Harper is super fun. And Harper is pleased that Kennedy is finally old enough to have a conversation with. We took them to the pool for Harper's first swimming excursion. They had a WONDERFUL time. Harper kicked and jumped on her Mommy's legs and Kennedy splashed. Kennedy still needs to work on that whole cause and effect relationship though...it's tough to understand why you get water on your face and in your eyes after you splash in the water....

We got a few pictures of these precious friends together after we were done in the pool.

Here are the gals poolside:

Harper: "Hey Kennedy, did you know my fingers are just as yummy as your fingers? No seriously, try them."

Kennedy:  "Harper, look! My mom's being weird."
Harper: "Whoa, who's that crazy lady..."

Harper: "WET WILLY!!!!"
Kennedy: "Aw man...."

Haper: "Hey Kennedy, look! My mom's making silly noises now."
Kennedy: "You were right, your mom is fun Harper!"

 

 And then I asked Harper to speak with Kennedy about her sleep habits.

 

Harper: "So, Kennedy. I hear you haven't been sleeping well. Did you know that you can actually have MORE fun during the day if you're not tired? Mom says it helps if she's well-rested too."
Kennedy: "I don't know, Harper. Sometimes I just feel like I need to say hi to my parents in the middle of the night."

 Harper: "No really, you should try it. It's awesome, pal!"
Kennedy: "I feel skeptical about it...but I like you so much that I'll consider what you're telling me."

I mean really. Can you even HANDLE all that cuteness!? It's difficult to take. I can't say that Harper's suggestions have completely been taken to heart by Kennedy just yet, but I'm sure with a few more discussions, we'll be all set :-)
