Fun Times in Raleigh

So Kennedy and I took a short vacation in Raleigh prior to Andrew joining us for the weekend! When we arrived it was super warm, and since Kennedy had decided that traveling without pants was the way to go, we figured, what the heck, lets take her to get the mail without pants too. So here's little Miss No Pants on the way to get the mail at the end of the driveway. She's riding in style in my stroller. Yes, you read that correctly. That's a 30 year old stroller that my mom saved for just such a jaunt to the end of the driveway.

"Woo hoo! Look at me! No pants!"

"Excuse me Grandaddy, what are you doing to my ride!?"

"Don't you wish you were pants-less like me! Dontcha?!"

Kennedy continued to be amazed and astounded by how AWESOME her feet truly are.

And of course, feet are also fun during our favorite time of day...bath time!

On Saturday, we went to a UNC basketball game with our friends Shelly, Christian and baby Will. Andrew, Christian and Shelly's dad enjoyed the game. Kennedy said, "No thank you" shortly after our arrival in the Dean Dome and Shelly and Will were nice enough to join us in a quiet afternoon at home at their house instead of the loud game. We'll try again another year!

Sleep continues to be A.W.F.U.L. As in, up every hour on the hour after midnight kind of bad. So Grandmommy dug out my baby calendar to see how I was sleeping at this point in my life. No shock here...JUNKY. Until....I started eating cereal. And then I slept. Now originally I wanted to wait on cereal. I was adamant we were waiting until at least we talked to the pediatrician. And then the sleep continued to be terrible. And I'm tired. And she's doing all of the things that they say to watch for when a kiddo might be ready for solids. So today we made rice cereal from brown rice and we tried it.

"Give me that spoon, Mommy!"

"Wait a second. Let me check on my feet!"

"What? I'm busy eating this yummy cereal."

So we'll see if we get any more sleep tonight. I'm going to be optimistic....she's busy contemplating her next move.
