Eating- She's still a breastfeeding machine. When she's awake, she eats about every 2 hours. But since I just feed her when she's hungry, sometimes its more than that and sometimes it's less. And most of the time these days, there's a good chance that I have absolutely no idea when she ate last and how long ago that was. If she's hungry, she eats! And based on the numbers, it's working for us, so we'll continue that plan. We tried cereal. She liked it. We tried it again, she wasn't into it at all. We're planning to wait before trying any solids again for at least a little bit. We'll see what Kennedy wants to do again soon.
Sleep- Oh, sleep. What a difference a month makes! We've been putting Kennedy down for the night around 7:30 for most of the month. Through the month, we've moved it up as she's become more insistent about getting in her bath earlier. Last night we moved her bedtime way up and she was asleep by 6:45 after nursing for 30 minutes. And it made sleep just a little better last night...so maybe we're onto something?! After a plea for help on Facebook, we've got all sorts of suggestions to try and look into. Our pediatrician reassured us that she's too young to be manipulating us, and encouraged us to wait until 5 or 6 months to jump into a sleep training program if we decide to go that route. For now, our project is trying to convince Kennedy that occasionally she can go to sleep all by her little self, without nursing to sleep or rocking or bouncing to sleep. So we're starting there. We'll see where we are with sleep a month from now. Here's hoping I get to say "yay sleep!"
In positive sleep news, after a week of very hard work of the combined efforts of my mom and I, she sleeps in her crib for naps! WAHOO! She's there right now. And she's been asleep for more than an hour. Rock. On.
Play- We love to play! Kennedy still rolls from her tummy to her back, and has yet to learn to roll from her back to her belly...WHY would she want to do that?! She loves playing with her ball and stuffed animals. She has recently started really enjoying standing up in her jumper to play and playing in the walker at Grandmommy and Grandaddy's house. By far her favorite toy right now is her feet. What a wonderful toy that you can play with any time you choose!
Kennedy can now sit up when she's supported all of the time and occasionally she will stay up when you help her get to a tripod position. I'm convinced it's all in an effort to play with her feet more, but hey, I'll take it!
She's in size 2 diapers and we've had to size up all of her cloth diapers. She has a few cloth diapers that aren't going to work for much longer. We've already had to retire all of the fitted cloth diapers we have. Flip diapers are by far our favorite kind of cloth diaper and I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a few more of those to use as soon as she outgrows the little pockets.
Without further ado, pictures!

You can tell Kennedy sure likes bath time(or maybe it's having no cloths on)!:)
She is getting so big!!! :D Super cute pics, Ash! Keep 'em coming. :) Hope to see y'all soon!
I love seeing that sweet face (of course, momma and baby). Way to grow little miss! (And way to supply the growth, Ashley!) While she continues to look like a mini-momma, I think I ssee some Ace expression in that sweet face.
Congrats on a crib-napper! Sometimes even when the nights are rough, having a bit of quiet, empty-handed time to yourself during the day can make sanity possible. Much love sent your way!
(and those leg rolls are so wonderful!)
