Kennedy’s First Christmas…Part 2

Our first Christmas with Kennedy was so much fun. She’s recently decided that crinkly paper is really exciting and fun, so we were hopeful that she would be interested in looking at presents being unwrapped and maybe even tearing a little paper herself. My parents came up a couple of days before Christmas to celebrate the holiday with us and it was really special having all of us together. We Skyped in Andrew’s family on Christmas day to join in the fun as well. And now, for the picture recap :-)

Our tree and presents and stockings hung by the chimney with care :-)

We were trying to get Kennedy in the Christmas spirit…

Grandmommy and Nutty got a big surprise…we are moving back to NC in May!

Kennedy’s stocking had sunglasses in it…clearly Santa knows she’s a star in the making!IMG_1816

One of my personal favorite presents of the day….my mom received a case of Puffs Plus travel packs…this MIGHT last her the year….maybe.

I received SHOES! This is particularly exciting this year since my feet grew during my pregnancy and none of my old shoes fit!IMG_1828

Nutty was thrilled with his bone from Santa.

Kennedy got some new toys and BOOKS BOOKS AND BOOKS! The elementary school teacher in me was THRILLED to see her take as much interest in the books as she did in the toys. Clearly, she’s going to love reading.IMG_1852IMG_1869

She also enjoyed helping open presents…and playing with tissue paper.IMG_1864IMG_1878

Occasionally we had to pause the excitement for a nap…IMG_1895

But oh the cuteness! Just look…Allison could barely contain herself Kennedy was so cute on Christmas Day!IMG_1930

The big surprise for Andrew and I this Christmas was that we both received new computers. We’d both had the same computers since early in our college years and it was really exciting to get the new ones. That’s my new laptop in the Skype picture above and here’s Andrew with his!IMG_1917

The best part, by far, was sharing the day with our family, near and far. We are so blessed.
