Father's Friday.... Again

Well I know some of you are disappointed that it's just me again, but Ashley has been super busy at school this week, so here I am again.  I'll give you obligatory chance to flip over to www.pinterest.com..... Ok so let's hit a couple of points of interest from the week.

First off, I'd like to relate a story that is both funny and shameful.  In order to truly understand the tale, we have to go back to 1995.  It was the first time I picked up an instrument.  The glimmering brass trombone, as many of you know, plays in the lower half of the musical staff.  I played the trombone for 10 years, from concertos to I'm a Tar Heel Born.  In 1998 I started taking piano lessons.  An since I was in high school I've been learning to play guitar.  What do all three of these instruments have in common?  They all play in the bass clef.  So you can imagine just how embarassed I was when I learned for the first time on Wednesday that in order to figure out the name of a note in the bass clef, you simply go two letters down from what it WOULD be in the treble clef.  Yep... Just learned that... I'm ashamed...

Second, if you understand this joke, we are friends:

Lastly for this week,  the doctor as essentially told us that Kennedy is coming between now and the 5th.  So we are super excited/scared/anxious/ecstatic/patient/inpatient.  Who knows.  By the next Father's Friday, we might have pictures of our little baby.  Stay tuned.

Well that is certainly exciting news! :D And yeah, that joke is awesome (and I CANNOT believe you didn't know the relationship between treble and bass clef...I have failed you, apparently) :-P
