So at 13 months old, Kennedy is truly coming into her own. She is a walking, talking ball of energy from sun up to sun down. She's got FOUR teeth now, but in true Kennedy fashion, she's doing things her own way. She has three bottom teeth (two middle and the tooth to the right of the middle) and her top right tooth has just made its way through the gum. No sign of the top left yet.
Kennedy has WORDS to say! Some of my favorites hi, hey, bye, up, yes, no, please (totally my favorite and it's getting her whatever she's asking for at the moment...), and signs for milk and all done. She is understanding a LOT of language. She can follow simple tasks like "Please close the trash can for Mommy."
She loves to dance when a "good song" comes on or if you ask her to dance with you. "Good songs" can be found in toys, commercials, or the radio. She's not picky. She just loves to boogie.
She attempts to roll me out of bed in the morning. Hysterical. Pushes, occasionally grunts. It's quite hard work trying to convince Mom that it's playtime.
Walking is officially her mode of transport and she's enjoying doing much of it on her own. She cruises all over the house and the park.
Speaking of the park...just a small illustration of how Kennedy is really coming into her own from this evening. It was cold tonight at our park time and I guess Kennedy had had enough playtime because she came over to me, asked for "up" and when I picked her up she pointed to her stroller, waved and said "bye" to the person I was talking to and pointed to her stroller again.... I took her over to the stroller and put her in her bundle me (imagine a sleeping bag hooked to the stroller) and she was content to sit and watch the other kids play from inside the warmth of her stroller for a few more minutes while I finished my chat. She was just done being cold. Can't say I blame her. Smarty pants.
Here are a few pictures from today.
Relaxing this morning...in the dog bed, of course. Where else would you relax?
When you're 13 months old, you have to accessorize properly. And then carry around your purse for everyone to admire.
This kid. Cannot. Get. Any. Cuter.
Trouble. Maker.
My girl.
My girl realizing that I was pushing a button...and she loves pushing buttons...
This one, right here, Mommy?
HA! I did it!
