2 Months Old!

Today our little Kennedy is 2 months old! She had her 2 month checkup yesterday and we’ve got new stats to report!

Weight: 10 lbs, 11 oz. (A gain of 3 lbs, 9 oz since birth)

Height: 22 1/2 inches

That puts her in around the 40th percentile for height and weight. Her head, of course, is still huge and is in the 86th percentile. Go big brain go!

She’s wearing size 1 disposable diapers when we use those and most of her cloth diapers are still on the tiniest setting and we sometimes have trouble getting them small enough to not leak…we’re learning! She’s wearing 0-3 month or 3 month clothes. She eats every 2-3 hours during the day and at night she sleeps for one long stretch without eating. She goes to sleep around 10 and wakes up between 4 and 5 most nights to eat and then typically goes down again pretty easily for another hour or two. She’s exclusively breastfed, but takes a bottle easily and happily.

She smiles all the time at her favorite people, but thinks the camera is funny looking and so its hard to catch a smile for a picture. She is cooing and “talking” up a storm and in the past couple of days has started to giggle. 

Likes: ceiling fans, her mobile, putting her feet in the running water at bathtime

“Hey, did you hear? I’m 2 months old today!”

“Mommy is trying to get me to smile.”

“Ha! Too slow with the camera!”

“Too bad!”

“I just crack myself up”

“Moooommmm! Nutty is getting in my picture!”

“I think I’ll cause a little mischief…lets take this sticker off…”

“Oh, fine…I’ll pose.”

 

What a wonderful first two months it has been!
