Fabulous Friday

So where has all of my blogging dedication gone? TO THE BEACH! That's where! I have been back and forth to Emerald Isle for the last couple of weeks. It's amazing. And even better? My hubby gets to go spend the weekend with me this weekend lounging on the beach (me) and and attempting to surf (him). And I do actually have a few pictures to post, and promise to take more this weekend. But I can't do it today, because my camera isn't with me and I'm not home....

So, where am I? Well, today I'm over at my boyfriend's house, hanging out and blogging while he has an afternoon nap. Travis has recently turned a big FOUR months old. So way to go Trav. He's also discovered how to shake things and make them make noise. It's hysterical.

In other funny news (at least to me) the TV is on in the background while I type this. Its some baby show (don't ask which one, I don't know) and they are talking about how this couple can't get pregnant and they keep getting negative pregnancy tests....except the test they show on the screen is a POSITIVE test. Multiple other POSITIVE tests are in the background....Who do they think watches this show? Obviously not people who know the difference between a positive test and a negative test.....

Yesterday, I got to have dinner with Melissa. We walked through the Hobby Lobby (I can always find something I NEED there...) and discovered that apparently August is NOT too early for Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations. We disagreed, but no one asked our opinion. Then found our way to Lobster Queso and salads. Delicious and fun! And then we decided to look at shoes...oh the interesting shoes we saw.....Also, thanks to Melissa for the title of this post :-)

I got the BEST email last night. Hope is alive and well, my friends. Thank you for sending it to me, friend.

I'm in full-on school preparation mode. By this, I do not mean to say that I am ready to go back. I do mean to say that every time I get on my computer I find myself googling something that has to do with teaching, supplies, ideas, curriculum, etc. It's around this time every year that I realize I need to read about 10 more books to provide me with more knowledge about how to be a good teacher. I never get a chance to read all 10 of the books that I decide are ABSOLUTELY essential to read....but things seem to go okay during the school year anyway. I guess it's a good thing that I'm striving to be better each year....but sometimes I think it has more to do with my worrying nature that drives my August teacher research craziness.

I make NO promises to post this weekend...I'll be busy soaking up the summer sun. However, when I return on Monday, no more beach trips for me, so I should be a blogging fool again! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!

Don't sell the vacation time short! Be in back-to-school mode, but don't forget to enjoy the vacation time! ;) (I know that won't be an issue at the beach). :-P
