Baby News

Well, now you've all heard the good news that we're going to be having a little one in July.

We're so excited and we're just starting the process of getting the house ready to have a baby live here with us! This past weekend we moved the first piece of furniture out of what was called "the brown room" and is now quickly becoming "the baby's room." Now we're ready for our loaner furniture to come up from Raleigh to REALLY begin the transformation.

The good news: The baby (and I) are growing day by day and everything is going wonderfully.

The bad news: The pregnancy thus far has made eating and keeping food down quite difficult. Since about week 8 or week 10 of the pregnancy, I've had trouble keeping meals down! I just kept hoping that everything I'd read was true....that when you reached the second trimester you'd magically feel better....wellllllll.....let's just say the baby is stubborn and has no use for such rules. The only other major complaint I have is that I'm constantly tired and run down. I'm sure the 23 challenging 7-year-olds in my classroom have a LITTLE something to do with that as well.

Andrew has been AMAZING. As all of you who know me well know, I often have to be reminded that it is okay to sit down and relax, particularly when I'm not feeling well. He has put up with my 7:30 bedtimes, inability to keep food down, and my inability to remember ANYTHING like a champ. Thank goodness for 'da hubs!

I'm anxiously awaiting the ability to feel the baby move, and finding out whether we're having a boy or a girl. We've only got about 5 weeks to wait!

wahoooo! Well, no wahoo to the inability to eat/hold food down/etc. But wahoo on baby and momma being healthy and daddy being a champ supporter!
I've got my dietitian spiel about about nausea/vomiting if you want, but i do NOT want to provide unsolicited advice esp since you've probably heard it all.
Love love love to you all!! SO exciting!!!
