Random Thoughts

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's been a few days (or maybe weeks) since I've posted anything, so I will take this opportunity to babble randomly in your direction with little to no regard to the coherency of said ramblings. I ask you to grab a nice big chocolate shake (you would do that to enjoy a chocolate shake while I'm over here baking in Iraq you evil thing you) and bare with me.

First off I would like to say that you people suck. I mean it with all due respect. Ever notice how that works? Well maybe you haven't since you aren't in the military. The theory goes that if you start any sentence "with all due respect" you can pretty much say whatever you want. That's the theory anyway, though I have yet to see it tested out. Anyway where was I? Oh yes, you people suck. Ashley and I started this blog specifically so that I would be able to keep in touch with all the friends and family out there that we can't do by email or otherwise do to my constant moving around, emails address changing, etc. However, while you may be reading our posts happily with your much undeserved milk shakes (how could you?) we have not had the same pleasure because YOU DON'T POST COMMENTS!!! For those of you that do, don't think we don't love you, cause we do, but you are usually the same people we actually can email, so it kind of defeats the purpose. It's the other loved ones that are only taking and not giving. Now granted, these people who read and don't post may not exist since we may actually only have a few people who read this, in which case I'm currently talking to no one and the rest of your are laughing as I do. However I think there may be one or two of your out there, so my advice to you is post a comment so we know you are still out there (and stop taunting me with the milk shake).

Ok so my third point is.... wait a minute am I on three or two. Hang on let me check.... ok looks like second. So my second point.... damn now I forgot it. Well it must not have been that important.

So in case you guys don't know, we have the ability to follow the elections out here (to a limited degree). I won't bother going into politics, since I don't want to bore you (which is obviously a lie if you read the first half of this post) all I will say is that we are very interested to see how this Palin pick is going to overall effect the election.

The packages, movies, food, comics, and other various mail have been well received. It's really done a lot for my morale out here (though lets be honest my morale is pretty high because, well I get to play Marine everyday). I get movies in when I can, so if you have any other good ones, throw them my way. If I already have them, don't worry because I'm sure there are others in the company that don't, and I can always trade them.

Ok so this post has gotten a little long, and since I'm not sure the last time I got some sleep, I'm gonna head in that direction. Take care all and I'll post again soon.
