Welcome to our latest and greatest attempt to keep in touch with our family and friends! As Andrew and I embark on our second deployment together, we're going to try to keep you informed about both what's happening here in NC and what is happening across the ocean. You can expect to hear about the end of my first year of teaching over the coming two months, with plenty of interesting stories from the world of first graders. As for Andrew, I'm sure we'll hear plenty of funny bits and pieces about living in Iraq for the coming months. As entertaining as his last deployment turned out to be, I am sure that this one will not let us down :-)

Andrew and Ashley........thanks to both of you for your service. I'm looking forward to hearing about y'all's adventures; Andrew from Iraq and Ashley from the states.
Went to the Raleigh parade to support the troops ....saw Elizabeth Dole riding passenger on a Harley which was part of The Rolling Thunder group. Saw all kinds of Army and Marine marchers (think they were boots). My favorite part was the Coast Guard Drill Team (of course) out of DC. They are as good as they were in 1964!
